The warm weather has arrived and that signifies one thing. It's Beer Festival season! There is a double dose of fantastic beer festivals on tap for the weekend of May 11th and 12th. Whether you live down by the shore or up in the Hartford area, there is a Beer Festival for you. Whether the waters of Long Island Sound or the feel of a College Football Stadium is more your speed, there is a festival for you.

The weekend kicks off with this awesome festival: Festival: Brewfest at the Beach
Location: Ocean Beach Park, 1225 Ocean Avenue, New London
Date/Time: Friday, May 11th 6:00PM - 9:00PM
Ticket Prices: $25 in advance / $30 at the door
The Skinny: This will be the 33rd Brewfest at the Beach (Doesn't that just sound like an awesome time!). There will be beer. There will be food. There will be live music. And of course, there will be THE BEACH!!! Hopefully the sun will be shining all weekend.
There will be more than 150 beers available to sample from including beers of all different varieties and from all around the world. Tickets for this event are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Your ticket entitles you to 15 sampling tickets, free food and live entertainment from the Rhythm Method Band. There will also be cigars and merchandise for sale.

The next event of this beer filled weekend is the 2nd annual Rising Pint Brewfest: Festival: The Rising Pint Brewfest
Location: 615 Silver Lane, East Hartford
Date/Time: Saturday, May 12th 12:00PM - 5:00PM
Ticket Prices: $35 (Includes Parking)
The Skinny: This is the second go around for The Rising Pint Brewfest. All the kinks have been worked out and this brewfest should be awesome. For $35 you get unlimited sampling so be sure to pace yourself, eat some food, take a taxi (or have a designated driver) and drink responsibly. Not only will there be tons of craft beer but there will also be plenty of food and live entertainment. All of this should make for a great event.
