Date/Time:  Saturday, May 5th 2:00PM - 6:00PM 

Ticket Prices: $30 Per person in advance, $50 Per couple in advance ($40 Per person at the door, $60 Per couple at the door)

The Skinny:  This will be the 1st annual Harmonies and Hops (LOVE the name) beer and wine tasting Festival!  For the price of admission you get treated to Beer, Wine, Music, a Pasta dinner and a Bicycle stunt show from 9 time National Trials Champion Mike Steidley!  You also get a commemorative beer or wine glass!

The music will be in the form of a Battle of the Bands competition and there will also be a home brew competition!

Sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday to me.

Price: $59 Per Person, All Inclusive (Beer/Food/Tax/Gratuity)

The Skinny:  The awesome people out at Willimantic Brewing Company (located in, you guessed it...Willimantic) are hosting the Spring Beer Dinner.  The Menu is set and the beers have been chosen.  Willimantic Brewing Company is taking a slightly different approach than most Beer Bars/Brew Pubs when it comes to this Beer Dinner.  Willimantic Brewing Company has decided to pair the four courses of this dinner with beers from four different Breweries.  Sounds like a great idea to me!  This allows Willimantic Brewing Company to pick and choose the very best (in their opinion) of each beer style to match their savory menu.  So without any further babbling, here is the rundown:

This is going to be a 4 course dinner. 




First
Pyramid Hefeweizen
Fresh Pea & Mint Soup – Puree of fresh peas, cream and mint. Topped with crème fraiche.


Second
WBC Anniversary Amber
Smoked Salmon Salad – Mixed field greens topped with avocado relish, house-smoked salmon and baked marinated garlic cloves with crispy cucumber tortilla chips.

Third
Stone IPA
Filet & Ravioli – A seared herbed petit filet mignon accompanied by twin fried vegetable ravioli with a mustard béarnaise sauce and piped buttered carrot puree.


Fourth
Berkshire Brewing Coffeehouse Porter
Fried Ice Cream & Banana Croustade – Fried vanilla ice cream scoops topped with vanilla infused whipped cream and a puff pastry and banana croustade.

Willimantic Brewing Co turns twenty-one on April 14!!!th

Willimantic Brewing Company is turning 21! And they have a big celebration planned.

They turn 21 on Saturday, April 14th and want you to come celebrate their birthday with them.  So head on over to Willimantic and enjoy some food, music and a pint or two or three.

The theme of the event will be a Black & White Roaring-Twenties style party so they are asking that you come dressed for the occasion.  In addition to a live DJ providing tunes all night long, there will be Food and Drink specials.  There will also be fun giveaways all night long.
